Site works begin at former Girrawheen school site:
Site works are set to commence this week at The Amble Estate in Girrawheen which will transform 4.2- hectares of underutilised land into a thriving residential community.
This urban infill project is a collaboration between the Department of Communities, Yolk Property Group and Ventura Home Group.
Project partners will be on site to mark the start of works at the former Hainsworth Primary School site, including the Member for Girrawheen Margaret Quirk MLA, Yolk Property Group Director Tao Bourton, Ventura Home Group Managing Director Phil Di Masi and Department of Communities representatives.
The Amble Estate will deliver a minimum 129 dwellings for more than 200 residents, comprising around 24 one and two-bedroom apartments, 15 townhouses and a minimum 90 single detached houses. Given the variety of home options available, The Amble Estate is expected to attract a diverse mix of buyers.
Stage One will be released in early February 2018 and titles will be available mid-2018. Prospective purchasers keen to secure a Stage One homesite should register their interest at www.theambleestate.com.au.
It is anticipated that all land and dwellings for sale at The Amble Estate will be priced below Perth median prices and will be affordable in the context of average household incomes within the City of Wanneroo.
House and Land packages are expected to start from $319,000 and homesites from $163,000.*
*Pricing is indicative and will be finalised before release in February 2018.

QUOTES
Department of Communities Acting General Manager Commercial Operations Nigel Hindmarsh:
“The Department of Communities is committed to creating thriving, liveable and sustainable communities for Western Australians, and to addressing the challenge of affordable housing in this State.
“The Amble Estate will prove to be an affordable option for homebuyers when comparing like for like in the surrounding area, with homesites, house and land packages and apartments expected to be competitively priced.”
Member for Girrawheen Margaret Quirk MLA:
“It is so refreshing to be able to start from square one at The Amble Estate. In Girrawheen we’ve been casualties of poor planning and development decisions in the 1970s. Now we have a chance to get it right. I look forward to thoughtful development designed with a variety of needs in mind; for first home buyers, seniors and others wanting to downsize.”
Tao Bourton, Yolk Property Group Director:
“We’re expecting an enthusiastic response to the first release of lots in February as interest in the estate has already been strong. The Amble Estate will bring a new vibrancy to this established suburb with the varied product offering seeing a mix of first home buyers, young families and empty-nesters join to create a dynamic community.”
Ventura Home Group Managing Director Phil Di Masi:
“A project of this size is a first for Ventura Home Group. We are doing things differently for The Amble Estate by developing Silver Liveable Designs and ensuring we identify opportunities to adopt One Planet Living Principles to enhance our building practices. As a group, VHG is committed to providing the West Australian housing market affordable and modern options which complements the lifestyle of our clients. The Amble Estate is a fantastic opportunity for customers looking for an affordable price point in such close proximity to the city.
